After ‘Sea of Bright Lights’ at the end of last year, Adelaide’s City Riots will be touring this April for the Catch the Sun Tour.
Named after the second single ‘Catch the Sun’ is an atmospheric crowd pleaser with Ricky Kradolfer’s wraithlike vocals and straining guitars loops with fuzzy rumbling undercurrent. Reverb-wonder ‘Wait For You’ released last year had plenty of airplay and should will another track that’ll be a live audience gratifier. Undercover.fm trusts City Riots will show-off ‘Lonely Hearts’, with a charging beat; it’s rapid and pure indie pop while still keeping in with their flair for a blanketing guitar soundscape. Album ender ‘It’s Been A Long Time’ will hopefully be making an appearance too!
As they continue to establish themselves as one of Australia’s most promising indie rock outfits this tour is another notch for these hard working lads.
Sea of Bright Lights is out now via Inertia.
