Australia's premier neo-soul dub outfit Wicked Beat Sound System announced a new album and April tour.
Longstanding electro-dub collective Wicked Beat Sound System have recorded their fifth album 'Hydromajestik'. The album, recorded and produced on a farm during the drought, is set for an Australian release on March 25.The album promises to return to their sophisticated soul of 1999's 'Inna Styles', which was nominated for an ARIA and Wicked Beat Sound System were nominated for a Best Band Dance Music Award. 2002's 'New Soul Breaks' scored them a Best Dance Release ARIA. Following the release of 2005's '4ormation' MC Kye left the group, leaving producer Damian Robinson and vocalist Linda Janssento complete 'Hydromajestik'.
Touted as the driving force in Australian trip hop and dub sounds, Wicked Beat Sound System will showcase their stylish new songs across the nation in April.
