The Future Music Festival is back this March - roving its way through Brisbane, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide like a wild musical beast.
Here are a few of the big names Undercover.fm are looking forward to.
Manchester indie idols The Stone Roses will be one of the biggest names of all the headliners this year. Whether its Fool’s Gold or Love Spreads their ‘60s guitars and ‘80s baggy beats will have everyone up and moving. As signer Ian Brown would say 'If you can’t dance, just shake your shoulder' - who would argue with that? Check out more info here about The Stone Roses.
British alternative dance legends The Prodigy headlined Future Music back in 2010 and now they’re back to give you more. Early rave/hardcore, through industrial bass filled ambience and back again Breathe and Firestarter are immense live. Undercover.fm has its fingers crossed for Out Of Space to make an appearance. Check out more info here about The Prodigy.
Indie dance-rockers Bloc Party first received praise with their debut album Silent Alarm way back in 2005. A day wouldn’t go by without hearing ‘Banquet’ blaring from house parties or cars passing by. Taking their cue from the likes of The Cure, Gang Of Four, Sonic Youth and Joy Division it's energetic as it is original. With last year’s album Four their sound has become more rock than dance but that’s not to say the tempo still fast and frenetic.
Fun. the chart-topping American hipsters who gaves us the infectious pop hits ‘We Are Young’ and ‘Some Nights’ last year. The Grammy award-winning band will bring front man Nate Ruess' distinctive sharp, whiney vocals and jangling, big-pop sound to Future Music Festival’s stage in all their glory.
