Kid Rock is set to sue a woman who filed a police report claiming he had assaulted her after a night of drinking.
Rock - real name Robert Ritchie - made the decision after learning police will not be pressing charges against him. As reported last week, a 28-year-old woman claims Ritchie forcibly ejected her from his property, sending her careering head-first into a snow embankment.With the woman suffering no visible injuries, and amid contrasting reports from friends of both the rapper and the claimant, prosecutors didn't have enough evidence to prove the incident occurred.
A lawyer for Ritchie said that his client will be suing the unnamed woman for filing a false police report.
"These allegations were taken very seriously by Kid Rock and he's not going to walk away," said lawyer Michael Novak.
