Sugar Mountain, Melbourne's boutique music and arts festival, will take over the Melbourne CBD next week. Showcasing a tremendous selection of local and international creative talent.

The main event will be taking place at The Forum Theatre on Saturday 19 January 2012.

MAIN EVENT PLAYING TIMES

THE WOMB

11.30pm - 1.00am Dirty Projectors

10.30pm - 11.10pm Action Bronson

9.30pm - 10.10pm ESG

8.30pm - 9.10pm Hunx & His Punx

7.30pm - 8.10pm Woods

6.30pm - 7.10pm Boomgates

5.30pm - 6.10pm Lower Plenty With projections and visuals by Kit Webster and Markus Hofko

Lauded Melbourne visual projection artist Kit Webster will make his third mind-melting main stage appearance at Sugar Mountain 2013. Webster will expand on his previous two appearances at Sugar Mountain, bringing it home with an expanding audio-responsive visual set for Action Bronson & Dirty Projectors. German-born, New Zealand based artist Markus Hofko will make his Sugar Mountain debut with a series of swirling, live projections. Hofko will dress the main stage with live visual splendor for acts Woods and ESG. Within The Forum’s many hidden nooks, local flamboyant artisan Hamishi will await you. Collaborating with musician and sound artist Henry Fin Madin (The Harpoons), the pair aims to draw you into their audio/visual world, bound to confuse and boggle, all in a strange and colourful manner.

THE SUMMIT

10.00pm - 10.40pm HTRK

9.00pm - 9.40pm: Forces x Antony Hamilton

8.00pm - 8.40pm: Kirin J Callinan x Kris Moyes

7.00pm - 7.40pm: Naysayer & Gilsun

6.00pm - 6.40pm: Phantoscopia

The Summit is a stage of collaborative performances, visual sensations and otherworldly experiences. Climb the stairs to the very summit of Sugar Mountain’s peak and find yourself drawn into the world of Phantoscopia. An extra-sensory exploration of human perception and phantasmagoria in a panoramic audio-visual experiment, Phantoscopia will take participants on a hypnotic journey to explore and project the shadowy landscapes of the Mind. In early 2012, Kirin J Callinan and Kris Moyes had a meeting of minds which spawned one of the most arresting music video clips to come out of Australia, ever. Enigmatic performer and strange fellow Kirin J Callinan and acclaimed sociopathic director Kris Moyes reunite for their collaborative live debut at Sugar Mountain. What they will do? Nobody knows.......

Melbourne based synth outfit Forces will collaborate with acclaimed choreographer Antony Hamilton (Chunky Move, Australian Dance Theatre, Lucy Guerin). The result? Another 'must see' one-off performance, curated just for Sugar Mountain. As a choreographer, Antony Hamilton created dances for The Lyon Opera Ballet, Australian Dance Theatre, Chunky Move, Dancenorth, LINK, The Victorian College of the Arts, Stompin and Rogue. This is sure to be an unforgettable, performance.
