St Kilda Festival have today announced the full Sunday festival program this morning. Festival Sunday is the iconic final day of the largest free festival event in Australia which includes a nine-day celebration of Australian arts and music.
The Main Stage will feature live sets from While The City Sleeps, Peter Combe & The Quirky Berserkey Newspaper Mama Band, Oh Mercy, Pez, Ash Grunwald and Bluejuice who will kick things off prior to the surprise sunset headline act takes to the stage. Hmmm no word on who they are? Hopefully Festival organisers will let us all know in the near future? What they can tell us is that The Midnight Juggernaut DJs will see out the Festival as the sun goes down.
The O’Donnell Gardens Stage will feature the Royal Jelly Dixieland Band, Eagle & The Worm, Grey Ghost, Hiatus Kaiyote, The Cactus Channel, Loon Lake, Northeast Party House and former Live N Local star Kylie Auldist.
The Alfred Square Stage plays host to songstress Thelma Plum along with Madre Monte, Kutcha Edwards, Patou Powell & The Ska Vendors, the awesome The Quarry Mountain Dead Rats (checkout our album review here), Mojo Juju and Abbie Cardwell & The Chicano Rockers.
The New Music Stage showcases unsigned bands and helps support acts early in their careers in launching them onto a national platform. This year the New Music Stage welcomes Buckley Ward, Shaun Kirk, Animaux, Warning Birds, Roscoe James Irwin (Tin Pan Orange/The Cat Empire), The Twoks, Stillwater Giants, Client Liaison, Straylove and Sub Atari Knives.
Audiences are asked to visit the Festival website and vote for their favourite New Music Stage act, with the winner taking home $5,000 and the chance to play the Festival main stage in 2014.

The Push Stage presents an all-ages drug, alcohol and smoke-free music stage with performances by and for young people with talent from Elysium Fields, Stereo King, The Vitriols, Electric War Babies, Soliliquy and Allday.
The Songwriters Collective will showcase Tash Sultana, Kerryn Fields, Michelle Meehan, Justin Ossher, Jack Griffin, Charlie Smyles, Justin Love Band, Jess Hieser Band and Cat Jump Road.
The Soundkraft Records Stage at Catani Gardens, will get ya'll dancin' with Nathan Olson, Eddie Stephens vs. Damon Walsh, Torren Foot vs. Luke Montgomery, Jody McLeod, Rural ka Band, Nick Kennedy vs. Jack Talbot and Holly-J vs. Juicy.
