Mere weeks after UK brats Kaiser Chiefs released 'Yours Truly, Angry Mob', they've announced another album for 2007.
The hooky mod-rock revivalists have revealed that while they were recording their UK number one album, they laid down another complete album worth of new material which they'll release as a 'fan club only' album in April. Bassist Simon Rix told MTV that they'll probably release it on their own imprint. And even though the band have a worldwide tour to support 'Yours Truly, Angry Mob, covering Australia, the UK, the US, Canada and Europe from March until July, they've also told MTV that they have yet another album worth of material that they want to record as soon as possible.
Rix reasoned, "It can get frustrating waiting between releases. We wrote 'Employment' and then we didn't record for another two years. We'd prefer to start writing our next (major) album soon." He rightly noted, "Bands in the '60s used to bang albums out and that's what we want to do."
