The Sydney Morning Herald has reported that whilst supporting Matchbox Twenty in Perth last night INXS announced that it would be their final show together as INXS.
The news has not been confirmed by a media statement from the band, their promoter, management, label. The show last night at Perth Arena may have been the final live performance for the group that formed 35 years ago, but will it be the end of the band for good?
Only recently the latest Michael Hutchence replacement Ciaran Gribbin made the following commentary in an interview with Fairfax, "They're still creative, they're still hungry to prove they have something to say,” adding “They're also still hungry to perform those songs, the songs that were a part of so many peoples' lives growing up.”
Who could say? Keep your eyes and ears peeled for the official line. Maybe they have just decided to do what Thin Lizzy have recently done...
