On February 8th I, A Man will perform Television's Marquee Moon which will coincide with the 36th anniversary of it's release. It will be 50 years to the day on February 1st that Neil Young played his first show at a country club in Winnipeg, to celebrate Nick Barker will perform "Tonights The Night".
On January 6th it will 37 years since Bob Dylans "Desire" was released, the sunny sky will be aqua blue while you enjoy Gallie perform the album in it's entirety.
Very cleverly sandwiched between Bob Dylan on the 6th and Black Cab performing Suicides self titled album from 1977 on the Friday the 4th , will be Pony Face performing Bruce Springsteens Nebraksa on the 5th. Nebraska track " State Trooper" is thought to have been influenced by Suicide, second to this the Boss performed the Suicide song "Dream Baby Dream" as a finale to shows on his Devils and Dust tour back in 2005.
The good times don't stop with the aformentioned shows. Head to http://purepop.com.au/IndexFrameset.html for a full list of the awesome summer lineup of classic albums performed by an awesome bunch of musicians at Pure Pop Records this summer.
