AWME or Australasian Worldwide Music Expo has announced it's key speakers for the November event.
Michael Chugg, music promoter and International Music Person of the Year will be joined by former Violent Femmes bassist and curator of Mona Foma, Brian Ritchie, as keynote speakers at the fifth Australasian Worldwide Music Expo (AWME), taking place 15-18 November 2012.
These two will be part of a contingent of around 500 local and international music industry types who will assemble in good old music town itsef..."Melbourne."
It will be an opportunity to share music industry knowledge in open discussions, forums, one-on-one sessions, and networking events over four days and nights, as part of the internationally renowned music market event.
Chugg, who has brought some of the biggest acts in the world to Australia including Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel and Prince, will take part in a candid conversation with journalist from The Australian, Iain Shedden. Whilst Ritchie will offer the opportunity to engage in an open discussion, using the experience of a 25-year association with Violent Femmes, his move into festival curation and his passionate devotion to all forms of music.
