Gwen Stefani is set tour Australia as a solo artist for the first time.
She'll be in the country in July and August, with five shows announced, in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.The tour is in support of 'The Sweet Escape, her second album which was released in December.
Stefani says the shows allow her to indulge her theatrical side, adding, "To hear and see people singing the songs back to me - they bought the record, they know the songs - you see yourself in them, in the crowd. It kind of makes it worth it, so I have to go on tour."
