On the final night of the Leeds Festival at the weekend Kasabian took to the stage with a tribute to the first man on the moon, Neil Armstrong after his death was reported on August 25th.
NME reports that before launching into the first track from the album Velociraptor "Let’s Roll Just Like We Used To", guitarist Serge Pizzorno announced to the crowd, "Everyone look at the moon behind you," before singer Tom Meighan added, "Everyone, this is for Neil Armstrong."
Armstrong died in Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 82 due to complications from blocked coronary arteries.
