Rumours persist of a Jackson Five reunion, to play three years of Las Vegas shows.
London's Evening Standard has reported that Michael Jackson is in the final stages of negotiating a deal whereby a reformed Jackson Five will play 250 shows over three years in Las Vegas from 2008.Former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller is apparently involved in the negotiations. They report that the r&b supergroup have been talking to producer Jack Wishna, who was responsible for booking Celine Dion's Caesar's Palace residency.
The group wound up touring together in the early-'80s, although the brothers joined Michael on his 1984 'Victory' tour, released one reunion album in 1989 called '2300 Jackson St' and appeared again at Michael's Madison Square Garden show of 2001.
In January Jermaine told UK television show 'This Morning' that the group were reuniting to record a new album. This latest news indicates they're more likely to release a Best Of album. The Evening Standard posited that a Las Vegas residency and a rumoured world tour to follow would earn them £250 million.
