Covering the period from August 2010 to August 2012, ARIA #1 Chart Awards will be handed out to a diverse group of seventeen artists tomorrow.
Karise Eden leading the way with six weeks at number one for her debut 'My Journey' and featuring
artists as diverse as The Wiggles, Gotye, AC/DC, Bliss N Eso, Guy Sebastian, Missy Higgins, Hillsong, Mirusia and more. In a first for the event, ARIA will hand out Highest Selling Single and Album Awards for the 2011 calendar year to global success story Gotye. Wally De Backer's single 'Somebody That I Used To Know' featuring Kimbra and album 'Making Mirrors', have sold in excess of ten times platinum and three times platinum respectively.
