Photographer & artist TIM CHMIELEWSKI, has held up a mirror to Melbourne’s musicians over the past few years as they have taken to the town’s underground stages. When cultural historians try to make sense of the musical soul of Melbourne in the future, they will thank their lucky stars for the work of Tim Chmielewski.
The broad ranging exhibition is the culmination of the many years that Tim has spent lovingly documenting the talented artists, dancers and punters that make up the vibrant local music scene including DAVE GRANEY, ROSS HANNAFORD, TIM ROGERS, JORDIE LANE, SUZANNAH ESPIE, JOE CAMILLERI, TEX PERKINS, CLAIRY BROWNE and more.
The exhibition is also the story of Tim himself as it tracks the joy of his discovery of a community where he has felt at home - it is his celebration of the music and the musicians that have become a part of his life.
