The show Madonna performed on Thursday night at the l'Olympia concert hall in Paris was a supplementary concert that had been added to French tour dates after the entire French leg sold out in hours.
Fans paid anywhere between $94.00 (AUD) and over $330.00 (AUD) for the limited seats, and hundreds of them had slept on the streets outside the venue overnight from Wednesday to Thursday. That's a hell of a lot of time and money for a 45 minute set. The Hollywood Reporter has quoted tweets from angry fans articulating their anger;
" 280€ for a seat + 10 minutes of a speech + 40 minutes of a show + 2 days of camping in front of the #Olympa = #Madonna #MDNA #Paris #thatsucks"
Post miniscule show, many fans gathered in the streets in front of the venue and yelled "remboursez! remboursez!" the French way of yelling for your money back.
