Madonna will be pleased to know that while the rest of the world is against her brandishing of guns, flashing of nipples and butt and super imposing swaztika's on people's foreheads at her shows, that a Hindu statesman has commended her on calling attention to the issue of intolerance during her current World tour that does not include Australia.
President of Universal Society of Hinduism, Rajan Zed, released a statement in Nevada (USA) today, articualting that it was the primary job of religious leaders and organizations to raise a voice against the rising intolerance in the world but many had not come forward due to reasons best known to them. The statement went on to applaud Madonna for her past commentary speaking out against the discrimination of Gypsy's in Europe who Zed believes are facing apartheid conditions.
Zed continued to Madonna, stressing that intolerance was unacceptable and religious leaders and entertainers should not stay apathetic and silent spectators to the continuous maltreatment of world's helpless and powerless, adding that if Madonna dared to highlight the issue of intolerance, we should all back her.
Not sure how brandishing guns and showing off your private assets contributes to tolerance? Also, not sure how branding someone as a Nazi highlights (in Madonnas own words) " the intolerance human beings have for one another" unless the person in question was actually a Nazi ? Sure, Marine Le Pen has some unsavoury ideas about a lot of things, labelling her an idiot would be more appropriate.
