Based in Sydney Australia, Edward Deer is a one man songwriting , producing and performing dynamo armed with just his voice, guitar, a drum kit and loop pedal.
Dynamo may not be the right word to describe his latest track release " Washed Ashore", which is a multi layered tapestry of reverb sounds, haunting imagery and rhythm peppered with such soothing vocal harmonies that you may find yourself transported to a flotation device on the Dead Sea on a sunny day, having just taken a shot of something you purchased from the local candy man.
The song is a dreamy, all enveloping foam that takes the listener through tunnels and turns that arrive with the introduction of new sounds creeping under your skin just enough to keep you thoroughly engaged in what's going on in every layer of the song.
"Washed Ashore" is the debut track from Edward Deers forthcoming album "About Monsters" which, I might add hosts a fabulous piece of cover art. The album is set for release this September through Laughing Outlaw Recordings, however, you are able purchase the single right now. http://itunes.apple.com/au/album/washed-ashore-single/id543537768
