Mumford & Sons are pleased to announce the details of their forthcoming second album. “Babel”. It's due for release on 21 September 2012. Thats only 65 sleeps!
Mumford & Sons have revealed that they are " more than excited to release Babel into the world. We
had started writing new songs well before we got into the studio to record. At first, we peeled ourselves off the road quite reluctantly. We love playing live, obviously, but it had also become an important part of our creative process, we had been writing and rehearsing in soundchecks, and sort of 'road-testing' new songs on our very gracious audiences. But then we fell in love with recording again. The album started to come together, and with the help of Markus Dravs once more (and engineer Robin Baynton), we started to relish the challenge of making this album. As a band, we've never been closer or more collaborative, all working to our strengths. And so we feel that this record is a natural progression that we're proud of, and we cannot wait to take it out on the road."
The bands accolade drenched debut album "Sigh No More" saw the band visit Australian shores for sold out shows in capital cities, however the arrival of new album "Babel" will have them return for their biggest Australian tour to date. Mumford & Sons will be travelling to every corner of the land down under, taking in regional towns as well as capital cities for their global Gentlemen of the Road Stopover Shows. Tickets are selling very, very fast, with Perth and Canberra already SOLD OUT and Perth adding a second show to meet demand. Ticket buyers can be among the first to pre-order "Babel", to be delivered on Friday 21 September in the format of their choice. For more information head to Mumfordandsons.com
