Axl Rose and U2 bassplayer Adam Clayton have both been unwitting victims of theft by a model and housekeeper respectively.
Axl had three necklaces stolen by a model at an intimate invite only show in Paris this week. The model in question gave herself up to police claiming that she had too much to drink and didn't have any idea how Axl's necklaces came into her posession. The necklaces were said to be worth $200,000. Nice haul.
U2 bassplayer Adam Clayton has appeared in court this week at the trial of the most dodgy housekeeper since Mrs Doubtfire, Carol Hawkins, who has been accused of stealing around 2.5 million pounds from the muso over a period of 4 years from 2004 to 2008. Claytons sneaky housekeeper allegedly took amounts of between eight hundred pounds and two hundred and fifty thousand pounds on multiple occasions. It does boggle the mind at how much money Clayton had at his disposal not to notice the missing cash for four years.
Here are the Stereophonics with their similar tale of woe. "You Stole My Money Honey."
