Rufus Wainwright, one of the world's true original contemporary artists, is returning to Australia in September 2012, following the release of his acclaimed new album 'Out of the Game", prodcued by Mark Ronson.
Australian audiences are in for two extra treats – joining Rufus on stage as part of his band
are: Krystle Warren – who recently completed an Australian solo tour following her appearance here last November for "Way to Blue: The Songs of Nick Drake." Plus Teddy Thompson, son of legends Richard and Linda Thompson. Both Krystle and Teddy will also be alternating as the opening act for the national run of dates.
Rufus will recreate the studio experience live on stage for the Septemeber tour. Expect an aural feast. Paste Magazine wrote of the album, "On 'Out of the Game,' Wainwright does not disappoint: whirling string sections and a chorus of women exhale grief behind the brash songwriter who knows no shade of blue that eludes him."
