Tom Gabel the formerly male singer from Against Me! has debuted as female Laura Jane Grace at a gig in San Diego where they supported The Cult.
Grace came out as transgender to Rolling Stone recently and this is the first footage available of her performing as a woman. The vox haven't changed and it has been reported that they won't.
Rolling Stone reports that the band played six new songs including the title track of their yet to be released album "Transgender Dysphoria Blues." Apart from the obvious lyrical content of the song Grace made no mention of her transformation in her inter song banter, although fans broke into applause when she sang the line from the song "The Ocean" released in 2007 " If I could have chosen / I would have been born a woman."
