SCALPERS MAKE A JOKE OF TICKETS SALES TO GEORGE MICHAEL SHOWS

What a joke. The George Michael Symphonica shows went on sale today and if you missed out you can pay up to $1200 for a pair or "multiple" pairs of " Diamond" tickets to the Rod Laver show in Melbourne.

So far punters that missed out on "Diamond" tickets will be able to pay up to $274.00 extra per pair, interestingly they appeared on Ebay just 15 minutes after they went on sale. This is really becoming quite evil. Promoters need to start looking at alternatives to ensure the scalping community do not have their cake and eat it. Splendour for example made this statement on Facebook recently after selling out the festival in record time.

 "Splendour does not support scalping of tickets. We were one of the first Australian festivals to introduce anti-scalping measures of needing a full name & DOB on tickets.  Splendour will be offering a reissue facility for people who bought a ticket but can LEGITIMATELY not attend, however the date for this is yet to be advised.
In the meantime we STRONGLY recommend you do not attempt to buy a ticket from anybody until the reissue is available."
