We posted an article on the talented "Devin" recently and are happy to announce via Inertia that he will be coming to Australia.
As previously stated he has been named by NME as one of “20 Acts That Will Matter in 2012”. They have got it right with this one.
Devin has received a wave of praise following his performances in Austin as part of SxSW, with The Guardian declaring "This ain’t no hipster disco, this ain’t no foolin’ around. Think instead of the debut releases, the sort that demand use of the epithet “seminal”, by those sacred “S” bands – Stones, Stooges, Smiths, Strokes. Rock’n’roll not just revisited but reinstated as a matter of principle”
His triple j feature album 'Romancing" was recorded at his home and then at a studio with Chris Zane (who has recently worked on albums for Friendly Fires, Mumford and Sons, Passion Pit, The Walkmen and Les Savy Fav), Devin describes the making of the album as crazy. "That was the term—"crazy" was the word of the whole recording process. It doesn't have to be good; it just has to be crazy."
