Mick Jagger is set to join forces with Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese in a new film documenting 30 years in the music industry.
Jagger, and business partner Victoria Pearman, will co-produce the film with Scorsese, who finally claimed his first best director Oscar for his work on 'The Departed'.The new film is titled 'The Long Play', and will be directed by Scorsese. The project will again involve screenwriter William Monahan, who also won an Oscar for his work on 'The Departed'.
Paramount Pictures announced that Jagger came up with the idea for 'The Long Play' several years ago. Monahan will adapt Jagger's story for the big screen.
Scorsese and Jagger also recently collaborated for a full-length feature documentary about The Rolling Stones. That project will be released later in the year.
