The "Strummer of Love" Festival will be held in the U.K in August to celebrate the life of Clash frontman Joe Strummer and will also mark the 10th anniversary of his death in December 2002.
No announcements have been made as to the lineup as yet. However, you can be rest assured that it's going to be big. Accordng to the festival website you can look forward to " Many of the great bands playing at the festival, some global superstars, others homegrown rising legends, began in much the same way as Joe did: having a passionate need to communicate to the world through music with nothing but a message and a few chords to get things rolling all with that great DIY ethic that is at the core of this celebration."
Tickets are already on sale for the three day event (according to the website 17th, 18th, 19th August 2012) that will be held somewhere in Somerset U.K. Proceeds from Strummer of Love will go to Strummerville, a charity established in memory of Joe Strummer.
