We haven't heard from Tony Iommi for a little while and fair enough considering what he is currently going through. However, he has updated his website with some news regarding his health and of the current Black Sabbath recording.
Here is the message on Iommi's website posted March 27.
Hiya,
A little update on how it's all going:
Well, I've had the last dose of chemotherapy so hopefully my body will start to get back to normal soon, the steroids were the worse. I've now got three weeks of radiotherapy coming up which I'm told can be very tiring so we'll see.
A big thanks to Ozzy and Geezer for coming over to England, it was a big incentive for me, we managed to work most days and have some great new tracks.
And, importantly thanks again for your kind messages, hope to be seeing you soon.
- Tony
There is still no mention of what is happening with Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward who is obviously not participating in the recording of the album, Iommi only mentions Ozzy and bass player Geezer. We wish Iommi all the best for the three weeks of radiotherapy ahead.
