Fuse are pleased to announce SLEEPING DOGS LIE, an exclusive Japanese reissue of material from Perth garage punk legends THE VICTIMS, thanks to 1977 RECORDS. How very exciting!
The Victims formed in early 1977 with Hoodoo Gurus’ Dave Flick (Dave Faulkner) on guitar and vocals, Rudolph V (Dave Cardwell) on bass, and Scientists/Gurus/Beast of Bourbon drummer James Baker bringing up the beats. The band released two 7”s (the classic ‘Television Addict’, as covered by You Am I and The Hellacopters); and the No Thanks To The Human Turd EP in editions of 1,000 and 500, respectively.
Most of this material hasn’t been available legally for over 20 years, and Fuse has the last 300 copies of this awesomely packaged Japanese CD (vinyl was available for around three seconds earlier in the week) which puts together all of The Victims recordings from the period (including 9 previously unreleased demos), as well as flyers, liner notes, lyrics, etc.
