That was quick! Already there have been plans hatched to cash in on the death of Whitney Houston. We have seen her albums sold at inflated prices and quick on the heels of that info comes the news that "The Bodyguard" wil be turned into a musical.
Coincidentally the producers would have everyone believe that the musical production of The Bodyguard has been in the works since 2011. I wonder how long it would have taken to get off the ground had Houston not died?
Obviously the death of Houston has accelerated the project with the Guardian reporting that producers have cast the lead role of Marron ( Whitneys character in the movie) and plan to have the show in London's West End by November. Apparently Heather Headley a Trinidadian-American R&B singer, actress and Grammy winner will perform the lead role. No ideas as to who will play Kevin Costners bodyguard character but rest assured the musical will feature "I Will Always Love You."
