Poor old Myspace, it has been eclipsed by the likes of Facebook, Spotify and other music sharing serivces in recent years. However things are looking up!
The launch of the new Myspace music player has seen a resurgence in myspace memberships and could signal the start of something wonderful for the embattled website.
The new music player is advertised as containg a catalogue of 42 million tracks that puters are now able to share their music on Myspace and Facebook. Improved functionality includes the ability easily discover new music with "Discover/Browse" which allows the user to see Top Charts, Similar Songs and Editors picks.
In a boon for Myspace more than a million new members have signed up since the launch. Last June News Corp sold Myspace at the extremely devalued price of $35 million, which was six percent of its $580-million purchase price, to Specific Media, a digital ad-targeting platform.
