We hear so relatively little about Ringo Starr in comparison to the bass playing Beatle. That's about to change with Starr's announcement of his All Starr Band members set to tour in European summer.
The recently announced version of the All Starr Band will include Todd Rundgren, Gregg Rolie (Santana), Steve Lukather (Toto), Richard Page (Mr. Mister), saxophonist Mark Rivera and drummer Gregg Bissonette, along with Ringo.
The ensemble will play a number of Beatles and Ringo hits, along with a couple songs made famous by each All Starr member. I entreat Ringo not to allow Richard Page to play "Broken Wings". It won't work with Todd Rundgrens "Couldn't I Just Tell You"..... Speaking of which I have added the album version of this power pop hit from Todd's 1972 album Something/Anything? One of the greatest power pop songs ever written.
