Veteran Australian actor Jack Thompson AM will perform at Bluesfest with an all-star band featuring Normie Rowe and Kevin Borich.
Thompson, the singer you have when you are not having a singer, has christened his troop Jack Thompson & The Original Sinners.
Normie Rowe is an Australian rock and roll legend. At one point in the 60s, Normie was the biggest pop star in Australia with a string of hits including ‘Shakin’ All Over’, ‘Que Sera Sera’ and ‘Ooh La La’.
Kevin Borich is a guitar legend. We heard him first in the 70s with the La De Das (Gonna See My Baby Tonight, Morning Good Morning), then the Kevin Borich Express, then The Partyboys then solo.
Thompson has starred in ‘Breaker Morant’, ‘The Sum Of Us’, ‘Mao’s Last Dancer’, ‘Australia;, ‘The Assassination of Richard Nixon’ and ‘The Man From Snowy River’.
The Bluesfest performance by Jack Thompson & The Original Sinners will be a one-time only event.
Thompson won't be the only actor on stage at Bluesfest 2011. Oscar winner Tim Robbins will perform with his Rogues Gallery Band.
Bluesfest dates are April 21-26 at Byron Bay.
