Already the fabulous Playground Weekender has announced an awesome lineup for the 2012 festival and here are the most recent to be announced.
New Zealand’s SHAPESHIFTER, will be bringing their monstrous live grooves and pounding rock to Sunday night’s main stage, guaranteed to be one of the many highlights of the festival.
The 26-piece MELBOURNE SKA ORCHESTRA will be rolling into the festival with their bigband goodtime stylings busting out a repertoire spanning from the golden ska period of 1963, right through to modern day classics, expect to hear the likes of Wailers, Madness, and the Specials amongst original tunes, reggae and Latin based ska.
Germany's STEVE BUG will make a return to the festival this year, hitting the decks with his well known "hands in the air moments" thta make him one of the most sort after festival DJ's in the world.
FBi Radio, hosts of ‘The Shack’ stage, will be presenting the best emerging talent Australia has to offer including indie rockers CAMERAS, THE PAPER SCISSORS and raw punksters FAIT ACCOMPLI. GUERRE, PLUTO JONZE, LOON LAKE and an array of other new and exciting artists will also be putting on show-stopping performances over the course of the weekend.
Unfortunately, as previously announced Fat Freddies Drop will not be making an appearance due to a change in the bands personal schedue with key members not being available for festival dates.
