New South Wales’ chilled bushfest announces a handful of quality acts as a first phase.
The festival announcements have been coming thick and fast of late. If you have any time or cash left, this mid-February fest has a tantalizing first line-up.
Consider this: Doves, Kool & The Gang, De La Soul, Kate Nash, Caribou, Four Tet, Roy Ayers, Tunng, Hungry Kids Of Hungary, Toro Y Moi, Norman Jay Mbe, Damian Lazarus, Tom Middleton, Belleruche, LTJ Bukem, DJ Heidi, Canyons, Danimals, King Tide, Roska, Clive Henry, Strange Talk, and Meem.
The list above apparently doesn’t even include headliners.
Playground Weekender runs for four days from February 17 to 20, 2011, at a stunning bushland setting on the Hawkesbury River in New South Wales, and hour and a half north of Sydney.
The first release of tickets will happen at 8am next Monday, October 18.
Those who have faith in the fest – and we should with the intriguing first announcement – will save on tickets. Final release tickets will be a little costlier.
