The best friend of a teenager tragically cut down by cancer has won the right to the portrait she painted in memory of her friend to appear on the cover of a special edition vinyl single to be released by Florence And The Machine.
Florence Welch of Florence and The Machine is the patron of U.K charityThe Teenage Cancer Trust. Recently a competition was held by the charity to design the artwork for a special vinyl edition of their re-released single "Only if for a Night."
Competiton winner Louise Clifford entered the competiton with a portrait she had drawn of her best friend Natalie Roberts on the anniversary of her death from Ewing’s Sarcoma. Natalie was a huge fan of Florence and The Machine and was sustained by their music whilst undergoing treatment.
Louise is overjoyed that her portrait of Natalie will appear as cover artwork for the vinyl single adding, “It is fitting for her to be celebrated on a record cover for an artist she loved.”
