Florence Welch and her “Machine” have officially announced the follow-up to the mega-hit Lungs.
The Brit artist has nailed down a release date for the follow-up to the epic 2009 debut Lungs, which hovered in the ARIA albums chart for the better part of 18 months.
According to Pitchfork, the new album doesn’t have a name yet, but it will be released on November 7 in the UK and later on in the month in the US.
She and her band recorded the album with Paul Epworth, who has previously worked with Bloc Party and Adele.
In a brief interview, Welch revealed that she chose Epworth because the best Lungs tracks were recorded with him (see: ‘Cosmic Love’) and that there aren’t any guests (as such) on the album,
The first single will be ‘What The Water Gave Me’, a video for which they uploaded on YouTube today and you can watch below.
