Startup company LiveScene based in Brisbane has announced the launch of LiveScene iPhone application, available on the iTunes App Store for free.
Founder of LiveScene Sean Bunton explains how this App will help users to discover and promote live local music. "We love live music, but for many it’s hard to find......With live music venues losing customers to popular clubs and being forced to close, it's clear that people are struggling to discover and support local live music. We are here to help."
LiveScene helps by providing artists a tool to promote their events with ease. Artists can add events to LiveScene straight from the app in their pocket, can share them via social networks in seconds, and on top of that, can promote the events with Push Notifications (text messages) to users near the venue just before the event begins. Push Notifications can detect how many users are near a particular venue. You can then schedule the notifications to go out 30 minutes before an event begins, or you can send them out instantly. You are much more likely to get people through the doors if they are standing right outside.
Live scene is going to be a very handy tool to have in your pocket when out and about. LiveScene will pinpoint your location and scan the surrounding area for events. The app will then allow you to share via social netwoking sites and even give you directions to the venue.
This a positive step towards engaging punters back into live music venues and in doing so will contribute to the survival of said music venues and importantly the artists that perform in them. Not to mention a boon for punters passionate about supporting live music. Nice one Sean Bunton.
The LiveScene application is available for download in the iTunes App Store for free. Founded by entrepreneur and designer Sean Bunton in 2011, LiveScene’s mission is to help anyone discover and promote live music, events, and nightlife deals.
