INERTIA ACCESS is an all new services platform catering to the needs of emerging Australian artists entering the marketplace. It will seek out the hottest burgeoning talent the country has to offer and give them unprecedented access to Inertia’s service arms outside of any traditional deal structure.
Inertia Access artists will retain all rights to their masters and receive the lion’s share of income. Arrangements will have no minimum terms or entail any long-term obligations or commitments.
Managing Director, Colin Daniels explains " “Inertia Access is about creating a one-stop shop for artists making the leap into the marketplace; whether they want to sell tracks digitally, pitch their music to sync agencies, or create CDs, shirts and vinyl to share with fans.”
Mark Dodds, Inertia A&R and Australian Music Manager will spearhead the division alongside Justin Cosby and company Managing Director, Colin Daniels.
The first unsigned artist to utilise Inertia Access will be Sydney’s Elizabeth Rose. Already hailed by Triple J as a 2012 Next Crop Artist, the 21-year-old electronic-pop producer will self-release her debut single later this month. Details to be announced shortly.
The establishment of Inertia Access is yet another indication of Inertia’s ongoing commitment to the growth and development of cutting-edge Australian music.
