Kylie Minogues 2001 release "Can't Get You Out of My Head" has topped the UK's Performing Right Society poll as the number one tune played in the first decade of the 21st century in the UK.
Followed by Kylie in the number two position was Britney Spears "Toxic" with Robbie Williams rounding out the top three with "Angels".
The UK's Performing Right Society who have the same task as APRA in Oz (to collect performance royalties for songwriters and composers) calculated the top spots by checking their records to see which songs had been performed the most in the last 10 years based on airplay and live covers of songs.
Lets not forget the songwriters who wrote the songs. Please put your hands together for Cathy Dennis and Robert Davis for co-writing "Can't Get You Out of My Head". And yet again for Cathy Dennis with Henrik Jonback, Pontus Winnberg and Christian Karlsson for "Toxic". Last but not least give it up for Robbie Williams and Guys Chambers as co-writers on the song "Angels".
