Ball Park Music fought off stiff competition from San Cisco, Lanie Lane, Husky and Emma Louise, to win JJJ Unearthed Artist of the Year.
Brisbane's Ball Park Music kicked off 2011 by opening the Gold Coast Big Day out after winning the slot through triple j Unearthed. Next stop was the release of their debut album Happiness and Surrounding Suburbs which was launched at the triple j Unearthed showcase at BigSound in September. It made such a huge impression on triple j staff they also received a coveted J Award nomination for Album of the year. See them playing this summer the Peats Ridge and Pyramid Rock festivals.
