British director Jon Brewer is working on a full-length movie about the life of B.B. King.
At the age of 10 when both his mother and grandmother passed away, B.B. King quit school to eke out a living as a "sharecropper". Earning $2.50 a week for rent and food he was able to clear his grandmothers debts before being collected by his father.
You don't get to be King of The Blues without a story to tell. The blues legend, born Riley King, has okayed the project and has made himself available for extensive input. B.B. King: The Life of Riley is due in theaters May 2012.
