The legendary “blues boy” B.B. King has added dates in Sydney and Melbourne on top of his headlining performance at Bluesfest next April.
It has been more than a decade since the the 85-year old music legend visited Australia.
Riley King earned his nickname B.B. in the 40s when he was a DJ on radio station WDIA in Memphis. He shortened the original ‘Beale Street Blues Boy’ to B.B.
King made his first record in 1949. He has since made over 75 albums and has earned 15 Grammy Awards.
B.B. King dates are:
April 12, Sydney, State Theatre
April 16, Melbourne, Hisense Arena
Bluesfest on the Easter Long Weekend.
