Johnny Deep is in a little hot water over the release of a Chrsitmas song recorded with U.K band Babybird. Christians around the world have been outraged.
The star of Pirates of the Carribean has teamed with U.K band Babybird to release a single where sweet baby Jesus is apparently portrayed as a boozin' goodtime guy selling kicks in a strip club. The title of the song " Jesus Stag Nightclub" isn't necessarily Christmassy....the only Christmas theme I can identify is that the release has coincided with the biggest Christian celebration on the calendar. Naturally the Christian right are jumping up and down with comments from the Christian Coalition such as;
" I'm sure he thinks he is being very funny but he's simply a disgrace, one day Johnny Depp and his cronies (that must be the evil band Babybird-Ed) will face the judgment of our Lord and they will burn in hell for this filth"
Them's fighting words. I wonder if the Christian Coalition have read the lyrics? It's not an obvious attack on sweet baby Jesus, sounds more like a description of a person with multiple personality disorder after a big night without drugs. Goodness me, what a lame publicity stunt by the Christian Coalition, looks like they'll jump on anything in order to hear the sound of their own voices. Why dont ya'll pick on someone truly evil, like Voldermort....?
