Michael Jackson's personal doctor has been sentenced to the maximum term of four years jail for the involuntary manslaughter of the singer in 2009.
In sentencing Murray, Judge Michael Pastor articulated "There are those who feel that Dr Murray is a saint. There are those who feel Dr Murray is the devil. He's neither. He's a human being. He stands convicted of the death of another human being." The judge also described the administration of the anaesthetic propofol by Murray as turning Jackson into a medical experiment, and that when things went wrong the doctor told unconscionable lies to emergency physicians trying to save Jackson's life.
Murrays seeming lack of remorse for the death of Michael Jackson as viewed in a documentary recorded after his conviction, was singled out by the judge. Conrad Murray expressed that he didn't feel guilty because he hadn't done anything wrong. Now he has four years in prison to reflect on what he did wrong.
