The first stop for the Black Sabbath reunion world tour will be the ‘Download 2012’ festival in Nottingham, UK next June, alongside Metallica and The Prodigy.
Sabbath will rock for the first time in 33 years with frontman Ozzy Ozborne. The creators of heavy metal will be marking their hugely anticipated comeback with a headline slot on the Sunday night (Sunday 10th June 2012) at the Download festival.
The weekend fest will also feature headline acts, Metallica for which they will perform their 1991 “Black” album. As stated on their website “That could be really cool since it is technically the tail-end of the 20th anniversary of the release on August '91”. They have been slotted to headline on Saturday 9th June 2012.
The third headliner, The Prodigy, have promised their most energetic performance yet for the Dongington Park. "(We) will be playing some new songs for the first time from our next album due later 2012! See you there - Liam, Keef & Maxim” the band commented onFacebook
The festival’s 10th anniversary event runs on June 8 to 10, 2012 at its regular home in Donington Park.
