Red Hot Chili Peppers should have brought their first album in 5 years out one week earlier. Lil Wayne ‘The Carter IV’ is set to slaughter sales of Red Hot Chili Peppers ‘I’m With You’ by 4 to 1 in first week sales in the USA.
Hitsdailydouble.com is predicting ‘The Carter IV’ will sell around 900,000 units in its first week in sale. ‘I’m With You’ is on target for around 200,000.
Both are well ahead of other new releases for David Guetta and Lenny Kravitz. Guetta’s ‘Nothing But The Beat’ will do around 35,000. Kravitz’s ‘Black and White America’ is on track for around 20,000 sales.
Lil Wayne’s last album ‘The Carter III’ sold just over 1 million in week one back in 2008. Red Hot Chili Peppers last album ‘Stadium Arcadium’ sold 443,000 in its first week on sale back in 2006.
