Guitar legend Carlos Santana and his wife Deborah this week announced they are developing a chain of Mexican restaurants.
The Santana's have partnered with Dudum Sports & Entertainment Corporation for the development of the authentic and contemporary Mexicans eateries.The initial plan is to purchase and make-over three Californian restaurants. The first will be The Cantina in Walnut Creek which will be relaunched in April under the chains new name Maria Maria.
The Walnut Creek restaurant will be followed with the second out of Mill Valley in May and third in Santa Rosa in June.
The Santana's will not be involved with the restaurants on a day by day basis but will work with the Dudum team to create the atmosphere.
A flagship location in the Santana name will be announced shortly.
