US band Steel Panther claim that the monster metal and punk festival has been cancelled.
Rumours are swirling that Soundwave Revolution is in doubt after Steel Panther drummer Stix Zadinia tweeted “Soundwave Revolution is cancelled. I am bummed”.
An hour later he wrote: “Just got word from our management that the whole festival is cancelled. I hope I'm wrong but I was told it's official. Anyone hear same?”
He repeated the claim, in typical metal persona, for another few tweets over the next hour.
He has since deleted the tweets.
Word is that headliners Van Halen have been a shaky prospect recently, and new line-up announcements were delayed from last Monday to Wednesday and then not posted at all.
Organiser AJ Maddah’s normally frantic twitter feed has been barren for almost a week.
However, we’ll wait for the official word.
