As we mentioned yesterday, The Police will be headlining this year's Bonnaroo festival in Manchester, Tennessee, along with Tool and The White Stripes whose performances were confirmed today.
It's an impressive line-up for the festival, which was first held in 2002. Also on the bill are live favourites The Flaming Lips, Wilco, The Hold Steady, Franz Ferdinand, Regina Spektor, The Decemberists, Lily Allen and Damien Rice.Whilst disgruntled fans have already noted the move toward more a mainstream line-up, the festival will still feature a number of acts who tend toward the obtuse and jam-friendly, including Ween, Galactic and Widespread Panic, the southern rock jam band who will be playing their fourth Bonnaroo.
