Australia’s SXSW rep Phil Tripp will present a free film documenting 25 years of Austin’s South By Southwest music, film & interactive festival across the country.
‘Outside Industry’ will focus on the bands, the people and the growth of what is now the world’s biggest music conference.
Tripp has been representing SXSW in Australia for the past 10 years. "We had over 700 OZ & NZ industry professionals attend all three events this year and 50 bands perform among a global count of 1100 artists. That was an 80% growth in registrants over 2011 and the numbers have exploded since 2002 when there were only 20 registrants and five bands from Australia & NZ."
SXSW Music attracts over 16,000 delegates, 3000 of which come from media worldwide.
